Sharpness Inner Lock Chamber, Sharpness, Gloucester & Sharpness Canal.

Unfortunately, we have been unable to start the planned repairs on the lock chamber at Sharpness Inner Lock and these will now be deferred until suitable resources are available. Following further investigation, however, it is hoped the work can be carried out under restriction and without the need for a full stoppage. Further information will be published as soon as available. In the meantime, this navigation closure is now cancelled. We apologise for this change to our plans.

A stoppage is required in order to carry out repairs to the lock chamber sluice.
