We are pleased to confirm that work at Lock 51 has been completed sooner than expected and the navigation is now open.

Although we had expected not to start this stoppage until 22nd February, we are pleased to confirm our construction team was able to complete Lock 32, Ivinghoe, and start moving plant and equipment to Berkhamsted, more quickly than expected.
This means we will be able to commence work at Lock 51 on Monday 15th February and should complete our work here and re-open the navigation on Friday 12th March 2021.
We are sorry about any confusion caused by the change of dates.

Unfortunately, as a result of the further delays to the stoppage at Lock 32, Ivinghoe, our construction team will be unable to re-locate to Lock 51, Gas Lock, by 15th February.
This stoppage will now start on 22nd February and end on 19th March.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these changes of dates.

Following the delays to the closure at Lock 32, Ivinghoe, due to Covid-19 absences, we need to allow additional time to move plant and equipment to the team's next stoppage at Lock 51, Berkhamsted.
Unfortunately, this will result in putting back the start and end of the closure by two weeks. The stoppage will now begin on 15th February and end on 12th March 2021.
We appreciate your understanding in these difficult circumstances.
