Unfortunately, we have experienced delays in achieving an effective seal on one of the fabric dams at Bridge 56 and this has delayed the start of the repairs. We have also identified a further section of defective waterway wall which we will repair whilst the navigation is dewatered.
Our team will be working weekends to ensure the work is completed before Christmas but we do need to extend the closure until 22nd December.

Please be aware, for safety reasons, the towpath will also be closed during this stoppage.

Unfortunately we need to delay the start of this stoppage due to the current availability of fabric dams during this busy period.
The new dates for the closure are 16/11/2020 to 18/12/2020.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this change may cause.
Description
The navigation will be dewatered to allow repairs to the bridge towpath wall.
