Top Lane Lift Bridge, Kirkhouse Green Lift Bridge and Sykehouse Road Lift Bridge, New Junction Canal

Unfortunately, due to further delays with the delivery from Europe of essential parts for the new hanger rods, we will be unable to start repairs at Top Lane, Kirkhouse Green and Sykehouse Road Lift Bridges when expected.

However, additional teams will be brought in to assist on the project and we will work through the weekends to enable the repairs to be completed as quickly as possible.

The revised dates for this stoppage are now 5th to 25th March 2021.

Unfortunately, issues and delays with the delivery of some key parts for the replacement hanger rods means our programme of works for lift bridge repairs has been affected, and our stoppage dates need to be put back.

A stoppage is required to enable the replacement of worn hanger rods on the lift bridges.
