Thank you for your comments. We have tried to find the best options for all the navigations in this area and for the many stakeholders who will be affected. This has to be balanced with working out the best programme for our construction teams, including moving plant, equipment and materials from site to site, as well as the amount of time available (pre or post Christmas) to carry out the repairs needed at each location. Following this first phase of consultation, we have made some changes to the programme but, unfortunately, it has not been possible to amend the dates for this stoppage.

Can this be done at the same time as Chirk tunnel after Christmas, so the navigation will be closed during this time not all winter?
