Mon & Brec Canal - Various locations

Please be advised that localised spot dredging will be carried out at various locations on the Mon and Brec Canal between Bridge 79 and Bridge 153 to remove soils washed into the canal by the winter storms.

Boaters may be delayed for short periods when meeting the dredging team, but any delays will be kept to a minimum and should not exceed 1 hour.

The navigation and towpath will remain open but remain subject to the Covid 19 restrictions.

Please remember our advice - only move your boat if it’s essential (not for leisure purposes) and minimise your use of the towpath.

If you are not currently occupying your boat the government guidance is that you must not visit it (this means no short trips or breaks on your boat at this time).
