Dudley Council has not been able to confirm the details for their works at Primrose Bridge and the stoppage will not be going ahead at this time. We apologise for the short notice of this change in circumstances.

Dudley Council has confirmed it will no longer be able to replace the existing bridge deck and abutments at Primrose Bridge, as originally planned.

However, they now plan to install a temporary service bridge at this location instead, to enable future works to be carried out under local restrictions.

The navigation will now be closed for just two weeks from 15th February to 26th February 2021.

Description

Dudley Council will be replacing the bridge deck and abutments as they currently do not meet Highway standards. The deck will be removed and scaffolding erected across the width of the navigation whilst new abutments are built and a new deck installed.
