We advise users of all unpowered boats not to navigate & users of powered boats to navigate with caution.
Please remember our advice - only move your boat if its essential (not for leisure purposes) & minimise your use of the towpath.
If you are not currently occupying your boat the government guidance is that you must not visit it (this means no short trips or breaks on your boat at this time ).
Please follow the government advice - Stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives.

Please be aware that further to the period of exceptionally wet weather in recent weeks, very strong streams continue to be present along the River Kennet, between Guyers Lock and County Lock.
Accordingly, the River remains designated RED.
CAUTION STRONG STREAM
We advise users of all boats not to navigate because the strong flows make it difficult and dangerous (Locks may be closed)
As a further precaution, Fobney Lock (105) remains physically locked, due to there being no safe refuge or turning place beyond this point.
