Holme Lock

Our contractors will be back on site as of Monday 6th July and aim to be finished by the 31st July.

Holme Lock will be open for passage and operated by a lock keeper between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00, 7 days a week.

Please follow any advise given on site by our either our lock keeper or our contractors. 

Please follow the government advice – stay alert, control the virus, save lives.

As of Saturday 20/06/2020, Holme Lock will be open for passage and operated by a lock keeper between the hours of 09:00 and 13:00, 7 days a week.

Booking passage through the lock will no longer be required and the lock will be locked outside of these hours.

Due to ongoing restrictions during the coronavirus crisis this work has not yet been completed.

Passage through Holme Lock is possible during weekdays on a booked basis.

Please note that passage will only be possible on Mondays and Fridays between the hours of 11:00 and 13:00. You must book by 16:00 the day before you wish to travel through the locks.

This notice will be updated when we are able to provide a completion date for this work.

Unfortunately, due to the essential maintenance works currently taking place at Holme Lock, the lock will now be closed at weekends.
