Between Bridge O and Bridge 2B, Leeds & Liverpool Canal

We are pleased to advise the towpath is back open between Bridge O and Bridge 2B on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal following maintenance works.

Please be advised the towpath will be closed between Bridge O, Coffee House Bridge and Bridge 2B, Litherland Road Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal able to carry out necessary works to Bridge 1, Carolina St Changeline Bridge and Bridge 2, Stanley Road Changeline Bridge.

Whilst the canal will be kept open to navigation, the air draft is restricted to 2.7m (8’ 10”) due to the scaffolding placed on the bridges to be able to carry out the works.

We politely request customers to approach the area with caution, be prepared to stop and to listen to any advice that may be given onsite. Advance navigation signs will be in place prior to the restriction.
