Navigation is now open but customers are asked to only move if essential to reach services and to follow government guidance at all times. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.

Our contractors have currently be able to remove parts of the fallen tree, therefore, the navigation is now open for boats to pass through with width restriction.

Please proceed with care due to restricted width.

Contractors are still on site removing fallen trees in order to open up the navigation again as soon as possible.

Contractors are on site clearing fallen trees to try open up the navigation. Further updates will be provided tomorrow morning.

Our contractors will attend site and carry out works to remove the fallen tree this weekend.

Description

Due to recent adverse weather, a large beech tree has been uprooted from offside, blocking both navigation and towpath.

Contractors have been informed and are in the process of assessing the site.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused. We will provide an update on Thursday 26th February.
