Claverton Pumping Station

Please be advised that we are now due to finish the dam installation on the 28th February. The floods have effected the local area and due to this there is a shortage of pumps.

The Towpath and Canal are still open.

We ask vessels to navigate slowly and with caution whilst passing and request all users of the Canal and Towpath to please listen to any advice from the local team.

Please be advised that the towpath users may experience short delays whilst we set up a dam around the inlet of Claverton Pumping Station. The dam will allow us to dewater the structure, clear all debris from the inlet, carry out repairs and finally complete a survey of the site.

The Canal will remain open throughout, but be restricted locally. We ask vessels to navigate slowly and with caution while passing and request all users of the water or towpath to please listen to any advice from the local team.
