Leeds Sanitary Station refurbishment

We have been advised that in order to allow paint to dry Leeds Sanitary Station is due to reopen at 6am on Saturday morning.

Customers are asked to only move if essential to reach services and to follow government guidance at all times

We have been advised that refurbishment works are due for completion on Friday 27 March.

However we are waiting for an update from the contractors following last night’s government announcement and will update this notice as soon as we have more information.

Due to the discovery of damp issues the refurbishment works are being extended until 20 March 2010.

Please note that throughout the extended refurbishment works, the facility will continue to be unavailable for customer use.

During the refurbishment works the boater bin store will be unavailable as it will be locked in the compound from Friday afternoon until Monday morning.

Once the compound is reopened on Monday morning the bin store will be available for disposal of rubbish until Friday afternoon.

Internal refurbishment works to Leeds Sanitary Station are taking place.

Works will take approximately 4 weeks to complete.  The building will be closed whilst this refurbishment takes place. 

Works will include:

New floor, wall and ceiling finishes throughout.

New shower units and shower cubicles.

• New toilet and cubicle to male WC.
• Upgrade of fixtures and fittings, including hand driers, vanity units, mirrors, lighting and clothes hooks.

The nearest alternative facilities are Castleford or Apperley Bridge.
