Bridge 188A, Trent & Mersey Canal

The works have been delayed due to poor ground conditions, but completion is expected before the end of the winter stoppage season

Please be advised third-party contractors will be onsite between Bridge 189 and Bridge 187A to carry out repairs to Bridge 188A on the Trent & Mersey Canal.

Temporary scaffolding will be placed on the towpath to carry out repairs to the underside of the railway bridge.

Whilst the towpath and canal will remain open, we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution, be prepared to stop to allow any equipment to be moved out the way and to listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors on site.
