Tide Times and Lock Shift Times for Naburn Lock (March 2020)

Please note that from Monday 30 March, unless there is an emergency or boaters require passage for one of the reasons below, all our employee-operated locks, bridges and tunnels will be closed.

• to access water or waste facilities
• to access essential food and supplies
• to access urgent medical treatment
• for emergency mechanical service for your boat
• for emergency vet treatment for your pet

Customers are asked to only move if essential to reach services and to follow government guidance at all times.

NOTE:-

• Actual lock penning times vary depending on a number of factors including weather conditions, river level and predicted tide height. As a general guide passage Naburn to Selby/Goole is 2 hours before high-water at Naburn. Passage Selby to Naburn is at or close to start of flood at Selby. Passage time Selby to Goole can be at the start of ebb or high water depending on a number of factors.
• Skippers of all craft planning passage should contact the lock keeper 24hrs in advance for advice on optimum passage times by calling Selby Lock on 01757 703182 or Naburn Lock on 01904 728500.
• Locks are not manned before 06:00hrs or after 22:00hrs.
• All times quoted above are local times and have been adjusted to BST where appropriate.
• Waste reception facilities for general domestic waste including food and non-recyclable packaging are available at Selby and Naburn lock. Large items such as mattresses and tyres should be taken to the nearest council recycling centres.
