Updates

Our contractors have successfully removed the tree and cleared it out of the way.

Customers can now travel along both the towpath and the navigation.

Our contractors on site today have organised for a crane to be on site for Monday morning, as the tree is too large for us to remove.

We hope that with the use of the crane, we will have the tree cleared on Monday and we will update the website accordingly.

We do apologise for the delays in these works, and appreciate your continued patience.

We have spoken with our contractors today and they have advised that unfortunately this is a really large job to get this tree cleared.

They have advised that they will try and clear it by the end of this week, but at this moment in time, we cannot guarantee this time scale and there is a chance that the works could continue into next week.

We do apologise for any inconvenience this is causing and we do understand how frustrating this must be for our customers. We appreciate your patience with this matter and are doing all we can to clear this tree as quickly as possible.

Customers should avoid navigating and using the towpath along this section until further notice.

A large tree has fallen, blocking both the towpath and the navigation. We are working with our contractors to remove the tree as soon as possible.

This is quite a large job and could potentially take a couple of days to clear. We will update the website tomorrow with where we have got with these works and if any more time is required to complete the removal of this fallen tree.

Customers should avoid navigating and using the towpath along this section until further notice.

We apologise for any inconvenience which may be caused.
