Works extended from 30 April to 30 June 2020

Description

UKPN Ltd will be installing a new electricity cable within the towpath side cutting slope. This will require the installation of a 400m long section of pipework within the hole drilled below ground.

To facilitate this work, vegetation clearance and floating of the cable pipework will remove the opportunity to moor along this section of canal for the duration of the works. During the vegetation clearance, the towpath will be diverted onto a floating pontoon system in the canal, which will run parallel to the towpath. During this time, there will be a slight reduction in the navigation width; however, this should not impede passage through the area.

We kindly ask boaters to observe local signage and proceed with care. For further assistance, please contact our Customer Service team on 03030 404040.
