The works are complete but removal of the scaffolding is delayed due to Covid-19 restrictions, therefore the towpath remains closed.

The construction works will complete on schedule, however, the towpath will need to remain closed until Friday 27th March for the removal of scaffolding.

The contractor will be using a temporary pontoon under the bridge during installation and removal of the scaffolding. Boaters should approach with caution and be prepared to wait a few minutes for the pontoon to be moved out of the way.
Description
Third party contractors will be replacing the water pipe via a temporary scaffold over the canal and towpath. The towpath will be closed however the canal will remain open during the works.
