Description
Mooring suspension & towpath closure, Oxford, South Oxford Canal
The Trust has been awarded funding to improve the towpath in Oxford, which involves towpath re-surfacing and access improvements which have been approved by Oxfordshire County Council.
From 21 October to 31 January 2020, all access points onto and off the canal will be closed between Wolvercote Road Bridge and Aristotle Bridge to enable construction work to take place and the towpath will be closed.
There will also be no mooring between these limits on these dates, except for the pre-approved agenda 21 residential moorings.
Workboats are being utilised to undertake the towpath repairs, so there may be short delays whilst boats are being loaded / unloaded at various locations within this area.
