Keadby Power Station Intake Construction

Construction works are now starting again following a delay due to the Covid-19 situation..

These works are now extended until 31 October.

Customers are asked to only move if essential to reach services and to follow government guidance at all times.

Due to difficulties experienced with ground conditions and delays with equipment, the Contractor has advised that these works are to be extended until the 23rd June.

Contractors are constructing a water abstraction unit on the edge of the canal to abstract water to a new power station.

Piling works and pontoons will be in the canal for the period allow the work to take place safely.

Skippers of all craft may be delayed for up to 20 minutes
to enable the equipment use to move positions.

All skippers to approach the area with caution and to reduce speed when passing through.
