Please be advised that Stanstead Lock is currently closed to help the Water Control Team monitor the water levels over the weekend.

We are currently monitoring the situation, and we will endeavour to re-open the lock as soon as we can.

Following on from assessments from our Local Operations Team this afternoon, due to low water levels, Stanstead Lock will remain closed for a further 24 hours in order to help conserve water.

Due to low water levels, Lock 4, Stanstead Lock will be closed for 24 hours from 4:00pm in order to help conserve water.

The Local Operations Team will be onsite in the morning to review this situation and reassess the levels with a view to reopen the Lock when practically possible.
