Due to Covid-19, the works on Forge Island have been delayed.
The works as part of the flood defence scheme are expected to be complete by the end of November.
Boaters should be aware that during piling works there may be dust and noise near Forge Island and Rotherham Lock.
There will be no obstruction to lock operation. Can skippers of all craft please slow down and approach with care.

Description
Contractors working for Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council are carrying out piling works as part of the flood defence scheme. The works will be on Forge Island.
Boaters should be aware that during piling works there may be dust and noise near Forge Island and Rotherham Lock.
There will be no obstruction to lock operation. Can skippers of all craft please slow down and approach with care.
