We have managed to raise the water level to a navigable level between Lock 87 and Lock 88 on the Leeds and Liverpool canal.
Whilst it will take till tomorrow morning to be back up to normal levels, we politely request all customers to navigate with care.
Description
Please be advised, following vandalism to Lock 88 in where the paddles have been left open, the pound between Lock 87 and Lock 88 in the Wigan area on the Leeds and Liverpool canal is severely low on water.
The local team are aware and onsite feeding water down to the affected area. We anticipate this will take a few hours.
An update will be provided this afternoon.
