Colwich Railway Bridge 72A

Contractors on behalf of Network Rail are going to grit blast and repaint the bridge. Works will be undertaken from a fully encapsulated scaffold spanning the towpath and navigation.

There will be a 1.20 metres wide walkway through the scaffolding on towpath and a 3.50metres wide gap for boats through the centre of the scaffolding. Both will have minimum 2.40 metres headroom. Towpath and navigation signage will be in place to guide users through the work area.

Although the towpath and navigation will remain open short delays may be encountered during the scaffolding erection and dismantling processes.
