Boat sunk in Boroughbridge/Milby Cut

The boat has now been re-floated. 

Booms have now been moved and placed around the sunken craft allowing the navigation to open. Please reduce speed when passing.

We have now assessed the situation and booms are required across the cut above and below the sunken boat, therefore navigation is not possible at Boroughbridge/Milby Cut.

We will update the this notice when we have further information.

We have had a report that a narrow boat has sunk in the cut at Boroughbridge, opposite the sanitary station.

Can skippers of all craft slow down and approach the area with care.
