Our teams have successfully reinstated the lock gate back into it's hinged socket, and the lock is now back open.
Description
We have been made aware today that lock 26 West on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. Has become detached from its hinged socket which the lock gate sits on. We have, unfortunately, had to close the canal due to this problem.
Our teams have been able to carry out initial investigations today, and they will be on-site tomorrow morning to carry out repairs to the damaged gate.
