Installation works on the towpath, either side of Bridge 188, Cowley Shovel

Access to the water point is limited to pedestrian access whilst pontoons are in the canal.

Pontoons are to be removed by Sunday the 4th of August after which time boats will be able to moor adjacent to the facilities point.

Third Party contractors will be carrying out essential utility installation works on the towpath immediately either side (upstream and downstream) of Bridge 188.

To undertake the works safely on the towpath, the towpath traffic will be diverted around operatives working, via the use of a short floating pontoon in the canal.

The canal navigation will remain open and largely unaffected by the works.
