Please be aware we have revised the dates of the winter closures at Anderton Boat Lift. The closures will now take place from 9th December 2019 until 13th March 2020.
We are also pleased to confirm the Boat Lift will be open for pre-booked passages on 23rd and 24th December 2019 along with 2nd and 3rd January 2020. Please visit our website to book your passage: Boating-through-anderton-boat-lift.
Before Christmas we'll be carrying out essential repairs to fix the daily wear and tear on seals and lifting cables. After the New Year break we'll be making extensive modifications to the equipment used to control water draining from the river gates into the open area below the caissons.
The Anderton Boat Lift Visitor Centre will remain open during the works and our Santa River Cruises will be operating as normal in December.
