Lancashire County Council has requested a change of date for the work to replace the bridge at Bridge 127A, Kellet Road Footbridge. 

The navigation will now be closed on Sunday 23rd February 2020 only.  

There may need to be a further day’s closure on Sunday 1st March 2020, but this will be advised when known.

Description

Contractors working on behalf of Lancashire County Council will carry out the replacement of the existing steel tubewright bridge with a new fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) truss bridge. 

The work will be carried out on the consecutive weekends of 5th, 11th and 18th January 2020.

The navigation will remain open during weekdays.
