Im a member of the rcta and every year they organise a Christmas market in December. If this closure happens we will not be able to attend as we moor on the Shropshire union and a lot of other traders will also not come thus losing a wonderful event at Christmas for a lot of people. Also last year a lot of us couldn't attend because of other closures at the same time in the Shropshire union and elsewhere an early closure with earlier finish or January closure would help considerably. Please could you give this matter your attention or we run the risk of losing an annual event that is well looked forward to by the people of Birmingham thankyou.

I'm trying to organise a floating market on the 7th and 8th December in the centre of Birmingham on behalf of the Roving Canal Traders Association which is something we do every year. Traders north of the Wolverhampton flight are telling me they won't be able to attend because of this closure.
