Updates

10/10/2019 16:30

We are pleased to advise that that the dredging work to back-fill this section of repaired bank should be completed tomorrow, 11th October, subject to weather conditions.

The dredged material is still very wet though, so unfortunately the moorings will need to remain suspended for a little longer, until the back-fill has dried out.

We do appreciate everyone’s patience whilst this important work continues, and ask all customers to continue following any advice offered by the contractors.

We apologise for the delay in completing these works and invite customers to contact the customer services team on 0303 040 4040 or at [email protected], should there be any specific questions regarding this notice.

We have finished backfilling with stone and are now carrying out the dredging work, which we expect to complete by Friday 11 October.

We apologise for any inconvenience this delay may have caused.

05/09/2019 15:45

We have now finished the piling work and are about to start backfilling with stone. We expect the work to take a further four weeks to complete.

01/08/2019 08:59

Due to exceptionally difficult ground conditions the piling work is expected to take another five weeks to complete.

Description

Work will be carried out on piling from waterborne craft between Bathwick Hill and Cleveland House in Bath to protect the banks that have been seriously eroded.

The towpath will remain open for this, the first phase of a larger project. However, the moorings will not be available between these dates. The moorings at Cleveland House end where boats are currently moored will not be available after June 1st.
