Description

A silt curtain has been installed just south of Talybont Aqueduct.  The curtain is clearly marked with a line of buoys and stretches from the water surface to the canal bottom.  Therefore, no turning can take place at this location, if you do need to turn your boat there is a winding hole at Talybont Wharf (300 metres south of Talybont Aqueduct).

The silt curtain has been installed to minimise sediment build up behind the weir, which should prevent silty water running over the weir and impacting on surrounding watercourses.
