Description

Floating pennywort is present on the Fossdyke Canal at Torksey, Drinsey Nook and at the confluence with the River Till.

The EA have an intensive spraying programme in place and are hopeful they can eradicate it.

The EA have asked that you do not try to remove it yourself as this can cause an increase in the rate of spread by allowing small fragments to break off and establish new areas.

Treatment with herbicides is the best method of total eradication. If you spot pennywort on the fossdyke can you email darren.randall@environment-agency.gov.uk.
