Lock 11 Brighouse, Calder & Hebble

Unfortunately our progress on site at Locks 11 and 12, Brighouse, has been severely hampered in the last two weeks as a result of flood water levels.  This means we will not be able to complete our work within the original programme. 

It will be necessary, therefore, to extend the closure until 12th February. 

We will do everything we can to reduce this timescale and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Following further review, the closure to carry out repairs and relining at Lock 11, Brighouse, will now take place after Christmas. 

The dates will tie in with the closure at Lock 12 to allow a more efficient use of local resources.

Repairs at Lock 10 will be deferred until Winter 2018/19 to allow resources to be re-directed to more urgent arising high priority works. 

Works at Lock 11 are not affected and will go ahead as planned.

Repair and relining works to the lock gates and fender replacement.

In order to meet local customer requirements, the works have been re-programmed to pre-Christmas to allow the Fearns Lock 1 (Aire & Calder) closure to be moved back to post-Christmas.
