Due to difficulties with the scaffolding erection it has been necessary to bring the scaffolding approximately 150mm below the bridge soffit.
This gives navigation headroom of approximately 2.20metres & towpath 1.80metres.
Please pass with care, advance warning signage will be in place.
Description
Alfred Bagnall & Sons Limited on behalf of National Grid will be repainting the gas pipe crossing the canal. An encapsulated scaffolding will be erected across the canal & towpath to facilitate the works. The towpath & navigation will remain open although short delays may be encountered during the erection & dismantling of the scaffolding. Towpath & navigation users will be safely managed past the works during these periods.
