The works scheduled from 26th June to 3rd July 2017 have now been postponed until further notice.

Description
24th April 2017 to 1st May 2017 overnight stoppage between 8pm and 6am to re-install a new bridge which will be built off site to minimise disruption to the canal.
The works are being done from the other side of the canal so other than a few minor incursions (that will not close the towpath) the towpath will remain open.
During lifting or difficult operations we will insist on a banksman to stop the works to ensure safe passage for towpath users.
Dates have been selected that avoid the Easter Holiday and work will be restricted to overnight periods leaving the canal open during the day.
