Description

Customers are advised vegetation clearance works will be taking place on Chirk Aqueduct from Monday the 12th of December 2016 until Friday the 16th of December between the hours of 08:00hrs & 16:00hrs.

Contractors will be using ropes and harnesses to abseil the structure to clear the vegetation. This will result in the towpath and navigation being closed for a duration of up to 1.5 hour at any one time during the day.

Once work is completed in a section/area the teams will move and set up in the next area. During this period boats/pedestrians will be able to use the towpath & canal.
