The Crossrail works between Old Ford and Bow Interchange on the Lee Navigation have been delayed and the towpath will remain closed until the end of 2016.

Crossrail works will see a closure of the towpath between Bridge 5A (A11) and Bridge 9 on the Lee Navigation from 3 to 19 September. Cyclists and pedestrians should follow the signs and use the alternative route through the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Towpath mooring will continue to be available north of Bridge 7 (Railway Bridge) but boaters should please remember that towpath access will only be possible from the north.
