Following the failed waterway wall below Lock 42 a team is mobilising to undertake repair works and re-water the canal as a matter of urgency
The date of this this stoppage needs to be extended from 17th March to 31st March in order to carry out these essential repairs

Just to clarify, the navigation will be physically closed and dewatered at Bishopton Lane Bridge 63 to enable waterway wall repairs to the bridge hole within the advertised stoppage period

Bridge 63 requires some additional repair works to the waterway wall. These repairs will be completed within the existing stoppage dates

Lock 42: Top and Bottom gate repairs and masonry repairs within the lock chamber.
Lock 46: Top gate repairs and masonry repairs within the chamber
Lock 51: Bottom gate replacements.
