Locks 1 - 2, Ashton Canal

A restriction is required between locks 1 and 2 on the Ashton Canal to carry out wash wall repairs in the area which will encounter the pounds being significantly lowered to allow the works to take place.

Boats travelling downstream from lock 18 will not be affected until reaching lock 2, and we ask if boats travelling upstream could travel through lock 2 before 8:30am each day.

A stoppage of one day will also be required on the 8th June 2016 to allow preparation of the lower parts of the wall rebuild.
