We have become aware that the date originally posted for the completion of this section of the towpath improvement scheme was mistaken. The notice states that navigation in the first locks will reopen today, unfortunately that will not be possible.
We are working closely with our contractors to establish a revised date for re-opening this section, we want to honour the spirit of the original notice as far as possible but this is going to require some reprogramming of the works.
We will update the notice once we have further information.
