Please be advised contractors will be onsite tomorrow to reinstall the floating towpath under the M62 Bridge on the Rochdale Canal.
Installation will take several days and an update will be provided Friday, 20 March.

Please be advised the floating towpath from under the M62 Bridge on the Rochdale Canal is being removed today to be repaired offsite.
Whilst the towpath will be closed at this location, navigation will remain open without restriction.
We anticipate the repair will take 1 month. An update will be provided 16 March 2020.

We will be removing the floating towpath from under the M62 Bridge by crane on the 17 February to be repaired off site.
The towpath will be closed from 17 February.

Unfortunately, the repair to the M62 Crossing on the Rochdale Canal has been delayed due emergency works taking priority.
Whilst we establish costs for refurbishment and repair, the M62 Crossing will remain restricted to narrowboats only and closed to passing of wide beam crafts.
An update will be provided once the plan of repair has been finalised. We anticipate this could take up until the new year.

Please be advised our teams will be working with contractors to carry out the necessary repairs to the Floating Towpath at the M62 Tunnel Crossing on the Rochdale Canal. Whilst these repairs are ongoing, wide beams will not be able to pass under the M62 crossing.
We anticipate the repair will be complete by the end of September 2019.
An update will be provided 23 September 2019.
Description
Due to a mechanical failure of the floating towpath, our contractors will be on site today to carry out an inspection of the hydraulic system.
This will only effect navigation for customers with a wide beam craft as they will not be able to pass until this has been resolved.
Narrow boats and towpath customers will not be affected by this restriction.
We will provide an update on Monday 15th July at 10am.
