Broken Ground Paddle - Lock 6 Brearley

Repairs at the lock have been completed. The lock is now available for passage.

Please note the head gate towpath ground paddle is presently locked. The paddle will remain locked for the next 24hrs to allow the timber wedges to swell and seal the repair.   

The lock can be operated by using the off-side head-gate ground paddle.

Please note in order to maintain water levels the sluices at Lock 7 have been locked to prevent unauthorised operation.

There is a broken ground paddle at Lock 6, Brearley Lock.

The lock is currently not able to empty and navigation is not possible.
