Tall Ships movements on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal - 23/05/2019 to 24/05/2019
The Vilma, Royalist, La Malouine and the Matthew are sailing into Sharpness for about 10am this morning (23/05/2019). They will then be leaving Sharpness at around 11.30am to 12pm and it is likely to take up to 4 hours for them to come up to Gloucester.

The Matthew and La Malouine will be stopping at Romans Quay today and the Vilma and SCC Royalist will proceed into Gloucester Docks this afternoon.
On Friday, 24/05/2019, the Matthew and La Malouine will be leaving Romans Quay to head into Gloucester Docks at about 11am to 11.30am. First, La Malouine, then the Matthew and then the Grayhound.
We cannot give out bridge timings as these are approximate.

Boat transit through the docks during the Tall Ships Festival
Please be aware that boat transit through the Docks during the Tall Ships Festival will be restricted to the following times:
Friday 24th May – From 1pm onwards please expect delays due to Festival installation activities.
Saturday 25th May – 7am to 8am, 12pm to 1pm, 6pm to 7pm
Upper Lode Lock on the River Severn will be open at 6am to allow vessels to navigate to Gloucester in time to transit.
Sunday 26th May - 7am to 8am, 12pm to 1pm, 6pm to 7pm

Monday 27th May – 7am to 8am, 12pm to 1pm, 5pm to 7pm

Information notice
Tall Ships arrival on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal
Organisers are currently finalising ships arrival/departure dates and times on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal and into Gloucester Docks. As this information becomes available we will publicise it here.
Please ensure priority is given to the tall ships at all times and follow the advice of Canal & River Trust bridge-keepers who will be assisting with passage. If you have a VHF Radio please keep this switched on for regular updates. (Channel 74)
Boats moored along the canal are advised that the tall ships may cause a significant wash and should consider this when mooring their vessels.
Visitor Moorings (in the Dock)
All visitor moorings within the dock basin will be suspended from 12 noon on Thursday 23 May to 5pm on Monday 27 May.
Visitor Moorings (outside the Dock)
Bakers Quay 48hr moorings (south of Llanthony Bridge) will only have 25m of mooring available, on a first come first served basis. No booking is possible. If you are planning to visit the Tall Ships event we strongly advise you call 01452 312143 (Llanthony Bridge 8am to 7pm) in advance to check availability.
Boat travel through the docks
Please be aware that boat travel through the Docks during the Tall Ships Festival will be only permitted at the following times:
Saturday 25 May – 7am to 10am, 12pm to 1pm, 6pm to 7pm
Sunday 26 May - 7am to 10am, 12pm to 1pm, 6pm to 7pm
Monday 27 May – 7am to 10am, 12pm to 1pm, 6pm to 7pm
