Description
A Third-Party Contractor will be undertaking remedial works to the bank support along the towpath. Operatives will be undertaking trial holes within the towpath, and due to the limited towpath width, floating pontoons shall be located in the canal to divert towpath users around the immediate vicinity of the works.
Canal users are advised to observe local signage leading up to the work, and cyclists to dismount whilst travelling on the pontoon.
The canal navigation shall remain open at all times.
Towpath side moorings will be suspended during the works to enable safe setup of floating pontoons adjacent to the towpath.
The Canal & River Trust apologise for any inconvenience this may cause whilst these essential works are undertaken.
