Our contractors have now installed the scaffold to carry out repairs to the bridge and the canal is now fully open.

Our team have been to site to inspect the damage caused to Bridge 95, Cherry Tree Bridge. On inspection, we have found masonry from the bridge has fallen in to the canal. We will aim to remove the stone as soon as able, however, in the meantime, this has restricted the width of the navigation.

With this in mind, we advise wide beams not to navigate under Bridge 95, Cherry Tree Bridge.

An update will be provided once the masonry has been removed from the canal.

Description:

Please be advised the towpath has been closed between Bridge 94, Livesey Hall Bridge and Bridge 95, Cherry Tree Bridge on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal to facilitate repairs to Bridge 95, after being struck by a vehicle.

We will provide a further update when our teams have started to carry out the repairs.
