Water levels have been recovered and further works will continue over the next few days to fully recover the levels on the Leicester Line section, following the Anti-Social behaviour issues experienced PM Friday 14th December.
Our Oncall team have refilled / recovered the affected pounds this evening, and will be back onsite Saturday 15th December to re-assess levels locally.
We will be running additional water along the Leicester Line over the next 48 / 72hrs to recover levels, please be aware Trust staff maybe onsite at locks & transferring water downstream to support this. We apologies for any minimal delays that maybe experienced at locks while we carryout these works.
Description
We are experiencing very low water levels on this section that has meant that it currently not navigable between Gees Lock and Whetstone Lane Lock.
We will endeavour to have this section re-opened at the earliest possible time but it is not expected to be opened until approximately Tuesday 18th or Wednesday 19th December.
Routes either side of this closure are currently operating as normal.
As soon as there is an update on this issue we will post on the website.
