Hazelford Lock

The works have now been completed and we have received confirmation from our engineers that the lock is now fully operational.

The works are not yet completed; however, the lock can now be operated by our customers.

We have tested lock operations from the user pedestals and temporary signage now describes how to operate the lock from the new user pedestals.

For the time being, the navigation traffic lights will be left permanently on amber.

Please proceed with care and follow any advice given on site.

Due to unexpected issues with the recent winter stoppage works, Hazelford Lock cannot be self operated at this time.

Between 0800 – 1600, boats will be penned through by the workmen on site as they continue to carry out their repairs. However, please note that there may be some delays whilst navigating through the lock.

Out of these hours, boaters cannot use the lock.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope to have the lock fully operational by Friday 23/11/2018. We will update the website accordingly.
