Caen Hill Flight is now open following successful efforts this morning to make the area around Prison Bridge safe for boat traffic.

Caen Hill flight remains closed to boat traffic.
A crane is required to remove the dislodged railings and copings from prison bridge. This is being planned for the 21st November. Time is needed to ensure we have a safe method of working and suitable risk assessments are in place. We will do everything possible to expedite this process while ensuring the safety of the works.

Prison Bridge remains closed to boating traffic while a safe method of work is agreed to remove the railings and copings currently suspended over the navigation.

Description
Due to accident damage to the parapet of Prison Bridge (142) Caen Hill flight of locks 22 to 50 are closed until further notice.
