Bridge 1c, Nottingham, of the Nottingham & Beeston Canal

As part of the bridge deck replacement works, J Murphy & Sons, working on behalf of Network Rail, will be installing a pontoon and scaffolding system in the offside navigational channel, extending approximately 1m into the main (towpath side) navigational channel.  The towpath side channel will remain open with reduced width.

Please be aware the navigational width during the works will be approximately 6.0 m under the bridge.

The pontoon and scaffolding will be in-situ for the duration of the works.

We have worked closely with Network Rail to minimise disruption during the bridge deck replacement works.  There are a number of separate elements affecting the navigation.  Individual notices will be raised for each element, which are as follows:
